We offer progressive Christian worship experiences with modern and time-honored music and traditions, a challenging and relevant message, supportive prayer, and an interactive children's time.
Ample parking and an easy-to-access entrance are located behind the main church building.
Our sanctuary is on the first floor. You may use the elevator or stairs. (There are signs to help direct you to the sanctuary.)
Choirs and Music at St. James UCC
In addition to the incredible musical talent of our accompanist, the many vocalists and musicians of St. James UCC offer quality music to enhance our Sunday Celebrations.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is our adult choir. They rehearse on Sunday mornings for about 45 minutes before worship (roughly 9:15-10:00 AM) and on some Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM.
Sacred Jazz Band
The Sacred Jazz Band is an ensemble of professional musicians who share sacred jazz music at special services and concerts throughout the year.
Praise Band
The Praise Band, an ensemble of guitars, bass, and drums, offers music several times each year. Anyone with instrumental or voice talent is welcome to participate.
Instrumental and special music
There are several talented musicians (with gifts ranging from the guitar to flute to trombone to string instruments) and vocalists within the congregation. Throughout the year our members share their gifts of music by providing special music during worship.
